Fresh Start

As the new year quickly approaches many of us are preparing to start the new year "right." We want to drop old habits, start new programs, make much needed changes to our lives. We were reminded on Sunday that if we want to do it right we must prepare for our 'fresh start.' It won't work without some preparation. Paul tells us in Philippians 3:12-14 that we must forget the past. Those things which hold us back. Those things which keep us from moving forward. We must also look forward. We must embrace the future with excitement. We must not allow fear of the unknown to keep us from moving in the right direction.Let's get ready for our fresh start in 2011.

God bless you!

Thanksgiving 2010

On yesterday, we were reminded that we should take time to give thanks to God for His many wonderful blessings.  We heard testimonies from various people about the goodness of God. What an awesome time we had together at Lighthouse. People of all ages, gender, educational as well as economic status were blessing us as they blessed God for what He has done and is doing in there lives. As we prepare ourselves for the Thanksgiving holiday please remember to take some time and just say Thank You God for all that you have blessed me/us with. We must learn to count all of our blessings, the great as well as the small.
God bless you!

He Decided to Die

With the Easter season upon us, I just wanted to let someone know how much Jesus loves you! He knew the suffering that lay ahead for him. He knew he would die a death meant not for the King of Kings, but for a common criminal and yet he did it anyway. Jesus said: "No one takes my life from me, except I lay it down. He says I have the power to lay it down and the power to pick it up again." Remember that while He was on the cross, you were on his mind. Take time this Easte season and remember what He did for you and ask yourself what you would be willing to do in return.
